Dr. Tiana Mathieson

Tiana Mathieson, OD, FAAO grew up in a rural farm town in Eastern Oregon. She received her Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences from Boise State University, and her Doctor of Optometry degree from The New England College of Optometry in Boston. As an optometry student and avid traveler, she did externships at a large hospital in southeast China, Pearl Harbor Navy Clinic, and did several volunteer trips to Nicaragua.

After graduating, Dr. Mathieson chose to complete a residency in ocular disease and primary eye care at the VA Connecticut Health Care System. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. She brings a diverse set of experiences, having worked in private practices, community health centers, and the Department of Corrections. Dr. Mathieson is most passionate about forming meaningful relationships with patients and helping them see and feel their absolute best.

Dr. Mathieson and her husband, Ryan, met while attending Boise State. Since graduation, they've lived all over the US while Ryan has been a US Navy pilot. They are excited to finally be returning to where it all started and make Boise their forever home. Outside of work, they can be found exploring the outdoors and spending time with their two young children and their two vizsla puppies, Indie and Rue.
