Ryan P. Anderson, O.D., F.A.A.O., embarked on his academic journey at California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks, CA, where he achieved a Bachelor of Science degree in biology and chemistry. He further pursued his passion for eye care at the Arizona College of Optometry at Midwestern University, obtaining his Doctor of Optometry degree. His commitment to excellence led him to complete a residency in Primary Care Optometry at the San Diego VA Hospital, followed by a prestigious Fellowship with the American Academy of Optometry. Currently, he actively contributes to the academy's admittance committee, shaping the future of optometry.
Post-residency, Dr. Anderson enriched his experience with two years at an ophthalmology clinic in Palm Springs, CA. A cross-country move took him to a dynamic private practice in Searcy, AR, where he spent three fruitful years. In 2020, he embraced a new role as an assistant professor at the Southern College of Optometry, supervising students in the Primary Care Clinic. After two years, he returned to his roots, settling in Boise, ID, to become an integral part of the esteemed Ada Vision Center team.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Dr. Anderson finds solace in quality time with his cherished family. His wife and young son, along with their two dogs, are his companions as they explore the great outdoors, often reveling in the beauty of nearby water bodies and majestic mountains.
Dr. Erin Rolfes embarked on her optometric journey at The Ohio State University College of Optometry, where she achieved both a Master’s Degree in Vision Science and a Doctor of Optometry degree. From a young age, Dr. Rolfes had a deep-rooted connection with the field, influenced by her own experience of wearing corrective glasses since the age of 5 and later transitioning to contact lenses during middle school. Her admiration for her optometrist further fueled her fascination with the profession.
Originally hailing from Dayton, Ohio, Dr. Rolfes spent nearly 5 years living and working in Cincinnati, OH, before her path led her to Boise in 2021. With a background encompassing a large multi-specialty Optometry and Ophthalmology practice, she honed her expertise as a vital member of a team collaborating closely with a cornea specialist. This experience kindled her dedication to managing Dry Eye Syndrome and Ocular Surface Disease, although she relishes the diversity of primary care aspects that optometry offers.
Dr. Rolfes is a valued member of both the American Optometric Association and Idaho Optometric Physicians. She possesses a history of sharing her research insights, presenting during her Optometry School years at the esteemed American Academy of Optometry annual meeting. Additionally, her commitment to knowledge dissemination saw her participating in presenting a lecture at the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery Ophthalmology conference during her tenure in Cincinnati.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Dr. Rolfes finds joy in an array of outdoor activities, including hiking and biking, while also indulging in local brews, be it coffee or beer. Her passion for culinary arts extends to baking bread, and she cherishes moments spent with her husband and their beloved pet labradoodle.
Natalie N. Karlinsey, O.D., originates from Highland, UT, a charming locale just south of Salt Lake City. Her academic journey took her to Brigham Young University, where she earned a Bachelor's Degree in Spanish. Displaying a commitment to excellence, she graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Southern California College of Optometry in Fullerton, CA. Throughout her educational path, she engaged in diverse clinical settings that enriched her practical experience. These encompassed primary care optometry, retinal specialty, general ophthalmology, specialty contact lenses, and low vision. Driven by a passion for comprehensive care, she finds her calling in primary care settings where she can offer her expertise to patients of all ages.
A dedicated member of both Idaho Optometric Physicians and the American Optometric Association, Dr. Karlinsey is deeply committed to the optometric community. Her compassionate approach to patient care is evident in her ability to connect with new individuals, forging meaningful relationships. Patients laud her for her openness and meticulousness in explaining procedures and treatment plans, enhancing their understanding and comfort.
In 2023, Dr. Karlinsey and her husband made Boise their new home.
