In a publication by the AOA, it was found that "about 4% of preschoolers have myopia, 21% have hyperopia, and 10% have astigmatism, according to data from two studies supported by the National Institutes of Health and published in the October 2011 issue of Ophthalmology."  Children with vision problems often don't know the world looks different from the way they see it. By the time children finish elementary school, their visual system has virtually completed its development so a delayed eye exam can spell trouble. At Ada Vision Center, our friendly doctors will give your children a comprehensive eye exam in a non-stressful environment. Dr. Simonson and Dr. Noble will rule out vision problems that can affect children during their visual development.
